The following are areas of focus that I believe are strategic and oriented to the long-term success of PSD. As a board member, I will approach these (and all) items with the following concepts:

Students first: they are who we serve, we need to know their needs first
Collaboration: involving all parties in PSD and our communities
Data-driven: what data-from many sources-informs our decision-making?
Listening: we are stronger together--there is no single person who is as smart as everyone put together

Fiscal Stability and Stewardship

PSD must make sound decisions with our resources--when funding is under pressure

Student Wellbeing

Students must be supported in their mental, physical, and emotional needs to support learning

A Desirable School District

We need programs and communities that make PSD the place to bring your children

Growing CTE Programs

We can grow our programs to meet the demand for career-ready graduates

Transparency and Accountability

Being transparent and accountable in all that we do is essential to build trust and collaboration
